The Weekend Theater is a non-profit theatrical community that produces socially significant plays for central Arkansas, and our story dates back to a 1991 production staged at a local church. TWT Presents A Very Sordid Wedding

“A Very Sordid Wedding” will have its Arkansas Premiere presented by The Weekend Theater
Sunday, Sept. 3 at 6PM

 
Del Shores and Emerson Collins will both attend to host the screening, do a Q&A after the screening and host a VIP reception and meet-and-greet afterward!

 

UA-Pulaski Tech’s Center for Humanities and Arts Theater
3000 West Scenic Dr., North Little Rock, AR

 

$20 General admission include the screening and Q&A

 

$45 VIP seating, reception and meet-and-greet with Del and Emerson
 
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The film starts at 6:00 and runs 109 minutes. It will be followed with a reception at 8 p.m.

TWT Announces Auditions for The Rocky Horror Show

The Weekend Theater announces auditions for The Rocky Horror Show, directed by Andrea McDaniel, July 22 at 4:00 pm or July 23 at 6:00 pm at the Weekend Theater, 7th and Chester, Little Rock. Please note the later than usual start time for Saturday’s auditions. You need to attend only one audition time.

**All auditioners must be 18 or older. Males auditioning for the role of Rocky should be comfortable taking off their shirt during auditions.**

The Rocky Horror Show is a humorous tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the late 1940s through the early 1970s. The musical tells the story of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist unveiling his new creation – a physically perfect muscle man named Rocky Horror.

TWT Announces Auditions for Little Brother

The Weekend Theater announces auditions for Little Brother, directed by Ryan Whitfield and Jason Green, June 24 at 10:00 am or June 25 at 6:00 pm at the Weekend Theater, 7th and Chester, Little Rock. You need to attend only one audition time.

Adapted from the Campbell and Prometheus award winning novel by Cory Doctorow, the play tells the story of San Francisco teenagers who, while skipping school and playing an alternate reality game, end up in the middle of a terrorist attack and on the wrong side of the Department of Homeland Security. This play asks “What is the right thing to do when authorities become oppressors?”
