SYNOPSIS

After Caitlin Gabriel survives a deadly shooting at her high school, she struggles to tell her story to her parents, the authorities, and anyone who will listen. But there are other narratives that gain purchase in the media and paint her in a different light.

This bold and chilling play asks us to examine our relationship to the truth and the lies that claim to heal us.

Following the August 20, 2016 performance, we will be holding a ‘talk back,’ an open discussion focusing on various aspects of the performance.  While conducted in a free-form forum discussion, such topics open for discussion can be (but will not be limited to) social impact of mass killings, impact on individuals who survive, media and information dissemination, and how do we heal, both as a community and as individuals.  Once continuing education unit will be offered following the discussion for participants with Arkansas social work licensure.
